🧩 Your Day
Your day kicks off with a tasteful cup of tea or coffee. Then your morning begins with a short coaching moment. One of the junior staff members has a question about a client’s annual report — instead of giving them the answer directly, you guide them through the logic. You basically enjoy developing others, and seeing their confidence grow makes you smile and boosts your energy—a great way to start your day.
At 10:00, you jump into a client call. They’re an ambitious scale-up, and you’ve been their trusted advisor for a while now. Today, you walk them through their Q2 results, give input on a new growth initiative, and talk through a few professional insights. You leave the meeting knowing you’ve added the value your clients may rely on — and that they feel supported and in control.
Mid-morning, you review a compilation file prepared by one of your team members. It’s solid work — you suggest a few improvements and send some coaching notes to help them improve further. Afterward, you join a short session with the tax team to align on a mutual client — because at JOINSON&SPICE, collaboration is their natural habitat.
In the afternoon, you take part in an internal meeting to improve our advisory playbook. You share your insights and help structure new ways of working, so the team can work smarter, not harder. Later, you have time to focus on your own clients or spend some one-on-one time mentoring a colleague working toward a more senior role.
You wrap up your day by checking your portfolio pipeline, prepping for tomorrow’s meetings, and sharing a quick win with the team. You're not just delivering compliance — you’re building trust, enabling growth, and helping shape the future of our advisory team.
✅ What You’ll Do
Manage your own portfolio of SME clients, acting as a sparring partner and trusted advisor
Lead and review compilation (samenstellen jaarrekening) engagements
Deliver clear, actionable advice and insights that go beyond the numbers
Coach and mentor advisory staff, helping them grow in their roles
Safeguard quality and consistency in the team’s output
Collaborate with other internal or external professionals (audit, tax, legal, payroll, etc.) to deliver integrated solutions
Participate in projects such as PowerBI dashboarding or developing API’s for advisory clients
Improve internal processes and contribute to the growth of our advisory practice
Job requirements
🧠 What You Bring
A completed HBO or WO degree in Accountancy, Finance, or similar
RA or AA (or in the final stages of your education) would be great
6+ years of experience in accountancy or financial advisory, preferably with SMEs in a growth setting
Strong knowledge of Dutch accounting and reporting standards
Fluent Dutch, with good communication skills in English
A quality-oriented mindset, hands-on mentality, a coaching mindset, and a client-first approach
You’re structured, proactive, and confident in your advice — but always open to learning
