Audit & Advisory Internship

🧩 Your Day

Your day starts with a coffee or tea and a quick check-in with your team. At JOINSON&SPICE, you’ll be part of a close-knit environment where you’re encouraged to get involved from day one.

Some days, you’ll support audit work—gathering and reviewing client documentation, checking financial data, and assisting with basic audit procedures. You’ll start to see how financial information is tested and validated in practice.

On other days, you’ll contribute to advisory projects. You might help organize client files, process financial data, or support the preparation of reports and VAT-related work. You’ll learn how financial information is used to support real business decisions.

Throughout the day, you’ll work closely with experienced colleagues who guide you, challenge you, and help you grow. You’ll ask questions, receive feedback, and gradually build confidence in your work.

By the end of the day, you’ll have contributed to real client work—and taken another step in developing your skills and understanding of the profession.

✅ What You’ll Do

• Support both audit and advisory teams with day-to-day activities
• Assist in gathering, organizing, and reviewing client documentation
• Perform basic audit procedures and complete standard checklists
• Process simple financial data (e.g. purchase, sales, and general ledger entries)
• Support VAT returns and year-end or reporting processes
• Work with tools such as Excel, CaseWare, and internal templates
• Assist in preparing reports and financial overviews
• Follow established procedures and learn how to apply them in practice
• Flag missing information or inconsistencies to your team

🧠 What You Bring

• Currently pursuing an HBO/WO degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and a structured way of working
• Interest in both audit and advisory services
• Basic understanding of accounting principles (or willingness to learn quickly)
• Good communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus)
• A curious and proactive mindset—you’re eager to learn and ask questions
• A reliable, team-oriented attitude
