Tsss… those sentences from above. You can practically dream them. Because they’re in every job ad and do a pretty decent job of describing what you’ll be doing in a typical week. And yes, you enjoy the work, otherwise, you wouldn’t be looking at these kinds of vacancies in the first place. After all, you’re not hunting for yellow M&Ms in the bag when you actually want the red ones… oh, never mind ;).

That’s why we won’t go into detail about what you do in a week. We’re looking for people with a few years of work experience—people who already know what the job of an accountant entails because they deal with it every day. And of course, you're still learning, and that’s a good thing. The same goes for your 20 colleagues, who you can always ask anything. And there’s plenty of room for education and training, we work with mentors, and we offer a real traineeship where we teach you the craft down to the finest details.

We’ve made a list of things we think are relevant. For us, but especially for you. We realize it’s definitely not complete. We’re curious to know what you think is missing and what your thoughts are. Hopefully, we’ve given you something to think about.

• Do you have the ambition to become a Chartered Accountant (RA)? We think that’s awesome. We offer an excellent study program and will support you wherever possible.

• No experience with client contact yet? No problem, we’ll teach you—it's mostly about doing and learning along the way.

• Is work not the only thing that matters to you? Welcome to the club. Because as much as we care about our profession, it’s not the only thing in the world. We focus on maintaining a good work-life balance. Overtime is not something we do (really, we don’t!), and 4x9 schedules, working from home, or buying a few extra vacation days on top of the 27 you already get is never an issue, as long as we discuss it.

• Smarter, not harder. That’s our motto. It’s no coincidence we built our own software suite, which runs the entire office. Want a demo?

• You’ll support the team on specific topics such as external reporting, IFRS, group activities, M&A, and anything else that belongs on this endless list. Not (yet) fully familiar with one of these topics? No worries – we’ll grow together!

• You have a completed HBO degree in accountancy? No? We’re not picky about it, but we will definitely ask about it.

We are Joinson&Spice. We’ve been around for over 10 years and now have a team of 20 people. We are the tech-accountant of the Netherlands. • Salary: € 3.200 - € 4.500 gross per month, depending on experience.
  Our salaries are more than competitive in the market and completely transparent: no fuss with unpaid overtime or activities outside working hours.

• Vacation days. We offer you 27 vacation days as standard to take a well-deserved break. We make sure you truly have the opportunity to take this time for yourself. And if that’s not enough, no worries—you can purchase additional vacation days!

• Premium-free pension. We believe it’s important that your pension is well taken care of. That’s why we cover all pension contributions in full, so you don’t need to contribute anything yourself. When you start, you’ll have a pension consultation to ensure you fully understand our pension plan and what’s arranged for you (and your family). Our pension scheme goes beyond what you might expect and offers options to tailor it even further to your specific situation.

• Monday funday with lunch. Start your week right with our Monday Funday Lunches! Every Monday, you can choose from a variety of delicious options, whether you prefer high-protein meals, vegan dishes, or are simply in a bulking phase. There’s something for everyone!

• Working from home or part-time. Every Monday, we meet at our office in Amsterdam—to catch up on the weekend and kick off the week together. From there, we plan the rest of the week as a team, whether that’s visiting clients, working at the office, or from home. Teamwork doesn’t always have to happen in the office, and we’re set up for that. As for part-time work, we’re very flexible—nearly half of our colleagues take advantage of this option.

• Education & Training. Want to continue studying? We've got your back! We offer an excellent study program to support further education. Additionally, every colleague has access to an annual personal training budget.

• Working hours. Thankfully, we don’t have a punch clock—or traditional working hours. Starting at 8:30 and finishing at 5:00? That’s always an option, but we mainly want your working hours to fit your rhythm. Does your child wake you up at 6:00 and you want to dive straight into work? No problem! Need to stop at 3:00 to pick up your child or because your workout class starts? We completely understand! You’ll work in a team of like-minded colleagues and have the freedom to structure your workday in a way that fits your life.

• And of course, you’ll receive an excellent laptop, a generous phone allowance, and great mobility solutions, such as a travel expense reimbursement or a leasing arrangement.

  
  As soon as you start with us, you’ll be assigned a mentor—just like everyone else—who will guide you personally. We also offer coaches for mental and physical support whenever you need it. Vakantiedagen. We bieden je standaard 27 vakantiedagen om even lekker bij te komen. Wij zorgen ervoor dat je ook écht de mogelijkheid hebt om deze tijd voor jezelf te nemen. En als dat niet genoeg is, geen zorgen, je kunt extra vakantiedagen bij kopen!

Premievrij pensioen. Wij vinden het belangrijk dat jouw pensioen goed geregeld is. Daarom betalen wij de pensioenlasten volledig voor jou, zonder dat je zelf iets hoeft bij te dragen. Bij je start krijg je een pensioengesprek, zodat je precies weet wat ons pensioen inhoudt en wat er voor jou (en je gezin) wordt geregeld. En die pensioenregeling gaat verder dan je zou verwachten. Bovendien zijn er keuzes door je te maken die nog beter bij jouw situatie aan sluit.

Monday funday with lunch. Begin je week goed met onze Monday Funday Lunches! Elke maandag heb je de keuze uit verschillende heerlijke opties, of je nu eiwitrijk eet, vegan bent of gewoon lekker aan het bulken bent. Voor ieder wat wils.

Thuis of parttime werken. We zien elkaar elke maandag op ons kantoor in Amsterdam. Om het weekend te bespreken, maar ook om samen op te starten. Samen delen we de week verder in. Naar de klant, op kantoor en de rest thuis. Teamwork hoeft echt niet altijd op kantoor te zijn dus daarop zijn we ook ingericht. We hebben trouwens geen kantoor op de Zuidas maar een prachtig pand op het hippe NDSM-terrein in Amsterdam Noord; uitzicht op de haven - dus werken op kantoor is eigenlijk heel prettig. Over parttime werken doen we helemaal niet moeilijk. Bijna de helft van onze collega's maakt er gebruik van. Maar let op, voor deze functie geldt wel een ondergrens van vier dagen.

Opleidingen & trainingen. Wil je graag verder studeren? We've got your back! Hier hebben we een uitstekende studieregeling voor. Daarnaast mag iedere collega gebruik maken van haar of zijn jaarlijks persoonlijk opleidingsbudget.

Werkuren. We hebben (gelukkig) geen prikklok, maar ook geen traditionele werkuren. Starten om 08:30 en stoppen om 17:00? Dat mag altijd, maar wij willen vooral dat jouw werkuren passen bij jouw ritme. Wordt je kind om 06:00 wakker en wil je daarna meteen aan de slag? Geen probleem! Moet je om 15:00 stoppen om je kroost op te halen of omdat je sportles begint? Dat begrijpen we volledig! Jij werkt in een team van gelijkgestemde collega’s en hebt de vrijheid om je werkdag zo op elkaar af te stemmen dat het past bij jouw leven. 

En uiteraard krijg je uitstekende spullen, zoals een stevige laptop, een nette telefoonvergoeding en hebben we natuurlijk goede mobiliteitsoplossingen, zoals een reiskostenvergoeding of leaseregeling.

Zodra je bij ons start krijg je - net als iedereen - een mentor toegewezen die jou persoonlijk begeleidt. Ook bieden we coaches aan voor mentale & fysieke ondersteuning wanneer je daar behoefte aan hebt.
